Cambie Real Estate Update (January 2015)

Detached home sales were down for January 2015 as there were 5 sales compared to 12 sales for the same month last year.  The highest priced home to sell in January was for $3,275,000 and the lowest priced home to sell was for $1,735,000.  Two homes sold over their asking price while the rest of the sales were all below their asking price.  All 5 sales were above their 2014 tax assessment values.

 

Currently there are 35 homes for sale and this is up from last month where there were 32 homes for sale.  The lowest priced home for sale is listed at $1,698,000 (5545 Ontario St) and the highest priced home for sale is listed at $4,500,000 (938 W 32nd St).  During January, four listings expired as they were unable to sell and there were no price reductions for any of the active listings.
